The Delta Chi Fraternity at Louisiana State University is pleased to announce it's annual philanthropy, The LEGENDS of the Hidden Temple-LSU Edition.

As part of the national initiative by Delta Chi, the LSU Chapter has adopted The Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer research as its primary philanthropic benefactor. The V Foundation was created for the continued search for a cure for cancer. This foundation, aided by ESPN and the Valvano family, has currently raised over $250 million dollars in grants for cancer researchers.

Delta Chi Chapters across the nation will be raising funds for a $500,000 grant in The Fraternity's name. As such an event will be held each Spring Semester by the LSU Chapter to benefit the V Foundation. The inaugural event took place on May 5, 2007 and replaced our previous Jailhouse Rock philanthropy to benefit the ARC of Baton Rouge.

The annual event, LEGENDS of the Hidden Temple-LSU Edition is based on the Nickelodeon© TV game show of the same name. Sororities and fraternities across campus are invited to participate each year in hopes of gaining the honor of entering the temple for a chance to claim one of LSU's secret treasures.

During the Fall the men of the LSU Chapter will be selling blue Jimmy V wrist bands and ribbons in ‘Free Speech Alley’ in front of the LSU Union. However, you do not have to be present to help the cause. You may make a donation by clicking below and making a payment via PayPal directly to us. Or, you may visit the foundation’s website to make a donation. To help us track donations, please enter the words DELTA CHI-LSU into the comment box if you wish to donate directly to the foundation. This also allows for donations to be distributed back to local research, such as Hospitals in New Orleans or Baton Rouge.
